旗袍，从不以俗艳为美，民国旗袍已经基本脱出旗女之袍的范畴，而演进成为一个民国服饰的典型元素和象征。才女名媛贵妇也很少穿着礼服式的旗袍，绝大多数人的旗袍朴素，自有一股淡雅清贵之气。
