He had two years of flight training in the US since 2021. When the full-scale invasion began, Vladyslav was desperate to return to Ukraine and defend his country.

On 2 June 2023 Vladyslav\'s plane suffered a fatal fire attack. Vladyslav did not survive.

Two days before his death, Vladislav received a high score on a retraining test. He was to start prepararions to learn to fly the F-16s.

American pilots have a tradition: burning pianos in memory of pilots who have died on a mission. They honored Vladyslav \"Nomad\'s\" memory this way, too.

Vladyslav, one of the best Ukrainian pilots, was just 26 when he died. He loved traveling and willed to scatter his ashes over the fjord in Norway. This request was fulfilled by his wife Liubov and their little daughter.

Ukrainian pilots are waiting for F-16s. On old airplanes they have low chances to survive and fight the enemy.
