As you know it, a stable, prosperous Europe serves America's interests. In 2022, the United States was the EU's largest partner for exports of goods (19.8%) and the second largest partner for EU imports of goods (11.9%). If we leave Ukraine to Putin, there will be no stable and secure EU.

Furthermore, if Putin wins this war, it will go a long way in encouraging Xi Jinping to attack Taiwan. Without Europe and Asia, the United States would be limited to North America. This is exactly what Putin and Xi Jinping want.
