This week saw the #EUCO decision to open Ukraine’s EU accession talks. We worked actively for it all year.

In the coming days, Ukraine and the European Commission will formally begin the screening process to assess the correspondence of Ukrainian legislation with EU legislation.

We are also preparing for the work on Ukraine’s negotiation framework, which we expect to be adopted in the spring.

The negotiation process will not be easy, but the important thing is that we already have historical certainty: Ukraine will always be part of our common European home.

I am grateful to everyone who joined forces with us and helps bring the required European decisions closer: all politicians, civil society leaders, and people in different countries who have equal faith in Ukraine and in Europe.
