US Congressmen, including Michael McCaul, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee; and Mike Turner, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, made a statement urging to provide:

1) Critical weapons to Ukraine in a timely manner;
2) Tightening sanctions on Putin's regime;
3) Transferring frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.

I think the key takeaways from the document are the following and they are true not just for the Ukrainian war but for global security as a whole:
◾️ Weakness invites aggression. I don't think it needs further explaining at this point.
◾️ If Ukraine cannot negotiate from a point of strength, there can be no lasting peace. Again, "lasting peace" means not just peace in Ukraine. It means global and sustainable peace.
