Ziad was known for his criticism of Hamas and their reckless actions that led the Gazan people to slaughter, particularly from a video in which he pleaded, "Save us from Hamas."
On 7th September 2024, Hamas kidnapped Ziad, subjected him to brutal torture, and broke his limbs. Yet even this barbarity was not enough for them.
