Elon is the reason Tesla got to where it is. He is the reason the stock is up 100% in the last 2 years, 1,100% in the last 5 and 29,450% since IPO. He is the reason Tesla is even pursuing Robotaxis and humanoid robots, both of which IMO will likely unlock huge levels of value for shareholders. Elon to this day attracts and retains top talent at his companies.
Hold a shareholder vote of confidence and Elon would probably win in a landslide. Take Elon away and not only would the stock likely plummet, but innovation at Tesla would slow.
Elon is the most successful entrepreneur of all-time, and the most innovative thinker of our time. While he is a magnet for drama, Tesla shareholders are far better off with him at the helm than without him.
